Think back, further, further… TOO FAR!

25 01 2010

So recently I have been getting bored of waiting for new games. Games that spring to mind are Mass Effect 2, WoW Cataclysm (I won’t get it but i want to see it), Bioshock 2, Pokemon Heart Gold and Sonic Classic Collection (Can’t wait to get my hands on Sonic and Knuckles!). Anyway I was looking at all my old favourites and came across two games that I have not played in a long long time.

So to my best friends, think back, back back back and stop!

Metroid Prime Hunters! Yes do you remember that game? Such a fun, fast paced and exciting first person shooter on the Ds. I remember the last time I played it with my friends, continual headshots to the face making it impossible to ever capture an obelisk or become the bounty in a friendly game of Bounty Hunter. One thing that really made the game great was the morphing… I could turn into a snake that gives out mines from its tail… How badass is that? Honestly thats more badass than Mother-brain.

So my next title, or life ruiner, is a game called Animal Crossing… Now i’ve spoken about animal crossing before but I deleted my save game and started fresh. I forgot how addictive the game is… “Hello John, hoot hoot. Do you have something to, hoot hoot, give me, hoot hoot” They’re so talkative, i feel as if they know me! Even Tom Nook was still as glorious as ever trying to persuade me to upgrade to a bigger house.

Anyway as much as i love DS games i have been on Dungeon Keeper 2 and DoTA more than anything, trying to get through every single campaign on DK2 and get through every hero on DoTA. I think i recently found my favourite hero though, named The Storm Spirit. He is basically a Blue Thunder panda with some incredible moves.

Raijin creates a remnant of himself containg his essence. The Static Remnant will release its stored energy whenever an enemy unit comes near it. Lasts 12 seconds.
Level 1 – 140 Damage.
Level 2 – 180 Damage.
Level 3 – 220 Damage.
Level 4 – 260 Damage.

Manacost 70/80/90/100

Storm focuses his energy to rip open vortex drawing an enemy to it. This process slows the Storm Spirit down for a brief period.

Level 1 – Pulls 100 units over 1 second.
Level 2 – Pulls 150 units over 1.5 seconds.
Level 3 – Pulls 200 units over 2 seconds.
Level 4 – Pulls 250 units over 2.5 seconds.

100 Manacost

Storm Spirit becomes overloaded with electrical energy whenever he casts a spell. The charge is released on his next attack as an electrical burst, dealing damage and slowing nearby units.
Level 1 – 30 damage.
Level 2 – 45 damage.
Level 3 – 60 damage.
Level 4 – 75 damage.

Storm Spirit becomes enveloped with energy, losing his physical form, and travels until he depletes his mana or reaches his target. While in this form, he deals damage to nearby units based on how far his electrical form has traversed. Damage, speed and area of effect improves per level.
Level 1 – Moves the Storm Spirit to the targeted location doing 8 damage per 100 units traveled at 1250 movespeed.
Level 2 – Moves the Storm Spirit to the targeted location doing 12 damage per 100 units traveled at 1875 movespeed.
Level 3 – Moves the Storm Spirit to the targeted location doing 16 damage per 100 units traveled at 2500 movespeed.

He becomes invulnerable and can destroy trees whilst using this ability (Screw you Stormrage!)

So you can imagine the power of ganking with this character.

Attack > Rev > Overload > Pull > Rev hits + Overload hits > Rev again > Rev Hits + Overload Hits > Attack > Chain of Lightning > Overload = Hopefully dead… Thats a lot of health gone -.-

Anyway give him a try and get onto an old game that you used to love… Its worth it…
